Our signature Bavarian cream cakes are best served after they’ve had adequate time to thaw according to the recommendations we provide for your specific cake.
When serving begins, it’s best to start with the outer portions of each tier and work toward the center. As each cardboard separator is reached, the layers can be separated to allow any remaining firm center to continue softening.
Using a sturdy knife dipped in hot water helps produce clean slices and makes serving easier.
Even if the center of the cake still feels slightly firm, slices can be plated immediately and will continue softening within just a few minutes.
💡 Helpful Tip
Share our serving recommendations with your caterer or designated cake cutter before your wedding day. They’ll appreciate knowing the best way to serve your cake.
⭐ Good to Know
Ludger’s Bavarian Cakery does not provide cake-cutting services, so it’s important to designate someone to serve the cake or coordinate with your caterer before your reception.
